Chef / Cook

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a key member of our resort, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control, to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

     

      • Develop and execute innovative menus that showcase locally sourced ingredients, seasonal flavors, and culinary creativity.

      • Oversee food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

      • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.

      • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and procurement of food and kitchen supplies to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.

      • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and productivity, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions as needed.

      • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop pricing strategies, promotions, and special events to drive revenue and enhance the guest experience.

      • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.

      • Stay informed about industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to inspire creativity and innovation in menu development.

      • Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests, accommodating guest preferences with care and attention to detail.

      • Represent the resort with professionalism and integrity, providing exceptional service and hospitality to guests and colleagues alike.

    Qualifications:

       

        • Previous experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel environment.

        • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution preferred.

        • Strong culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

        • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.

        • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to upholding the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

        • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

        • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
