Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our team and create exceptional beverage experiences for our guests. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will craft delicious cocktails, provide attentive service, and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our resort bars.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mixed drinks, beers, wines, and specialty beverages, according to established recipes and standards.
- Welcome guests warmly, engaging them in conversation, and providing recommendations on beverages based on their preferences and tastes.
- Take orders accurately, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and process payments promptly and accurately.
- Create visually stunning and flavorful cocktails, garnishing drinks with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor beverage inventory levels, anticipate demand, and communicate replenishment needs to the bar manager or beverage supervisor.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, including monitoring guest consumption, identifying intoxicated guests, and preventing overconsumption.
- Engage with guests and provide exceptional service, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
- Stay informed about current beverage trends, new products, and industry developments, incorporating innovative ideas into the beverage program.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines, with the ability to craft creative and delicious beverages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Excellent multitasking and time management abilities to handle busy periods and maintain efficiency.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic math skills for processing orders and handling cash transactions.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- A positive attitude, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests.
- TIPS or similar certification for responsible alcohol service is a plus.
