Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee all aspects of procurement and sourcing for our resort. As a key member of our management team, the Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing purchasing processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support the resort’s operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management processes.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews, resolving disputes, and fostering collaboration to achieve mutual goals.
- Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements, aligning procurement activities with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Forecast demand, analyze market trends, and monitor industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and supply chain optimization.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments, maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, track usage patterns, and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards governing procurement practices, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management, preferably in the hospitality or related industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
