Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of resort facilities and equipment. As an integral member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in preserving the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our resort to enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, to ensure the efficient operation of resort facilities and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and procedures on a regular basis to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance emergencies, troubleshooting problems and making necessary repairs to minimize downtime and inconvenience.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of resort buildings, grounds, and equipment, performing repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials, equipment, and services for maintenance and repair projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inventory, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines, including maintaining a safe and clean work environment and following proper safety protocols.
- Assist with special projects and renovations, working collaboratively with other departments to support resort operations and initiatives.
- Provide support and guidance to other members of the maintenance team, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
